Springfield Falcons Release Brendan Rempel from PTO

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons have released defenseman Brendan Rempel from his professional try-out agreement, Director of Hockey Operations Bruce Landon announced today.

Rempel, 23, signed his PTO with the Falcons on Oct. 26. He appeared in 47 contests with the Las Vegas Wranglers, South Carolina Stingrays and Evansville Icemen, all of the ECHL, during the 2013-14 season. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound defenseman has skated in 52 career ECHL games. Rempel also appeared in 81 games during his four year career at Harvard University, earning 11 points (1g, 10a). Prior to his collegiate career, the Willington, Connecticut native played for the U.S. National Under-18 Team, picking up 11 points (3g, 8a) in 63 games.

The Springfield Falcons travel to Albany on Oct. 29 before returning home to host rival Providence Bruins on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. Ticket packages are on sale now.
