Madison, WI - The Traverse City Pit Spitters lose Game One of the double header to the Madison Mallards, 8-0. The Pit Spitters record drops to 29-19, and 7-6 in the second half.

Noah Sudyka led off the bottom of the third for the Mallards with a single, followed by Sprock a couple batters later with a single of his own. Sudyka came into score on a wild pitch thrown by starting pitcher Ethan Foley to make it 1-0 Mallards. Isaiah Jackson singled to right field, driving in Sprock to extend their lead 2-0. The Mallards loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning with three walks from Jackson tucker, Sudyka, and Sprock. Owen Jackson drew a walk and brought in Tucker to make it 3-0. Sudyka and Sprock both came into score after first baseman Zach Johnson committed an error, pushing the Mallards lead to 5-0. Jackson reached base to kick off the bottom of the sixth after a fielding made by third baseman Glenn Miller. Jackson and Jake Goolsby walked to load the bases. Canyon Brown doubled to left field, scoring Owen Jackson and Isaiah Jackson to extend their lead 7-0. Jackson Tucker followed up the double with a sacrifice fly scoring Goolsby to make it 8-0. The Mallards took game one of the seven inning doubleheader 8-0.

The Pit Spitters drop to 29-19 on the season and 7-6 in the second half, while the Mallards improve to a 24-21 overall record and 8-3 in the second half. Pit Spitters starting pitcher, Ethan Foley threw four innings giving up three runs, on five hits and six walks. Easton Johnson threw two innings of relief, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk.
