Sox End Road Losing Streak

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox ended their 9 game road-losing streak as they beat the Iowa Cubs 9-7 on Tuesday evening. The Sox got off to a slow start scoring 1 run through the first 6 innings. The bats came alive in the 7th inning as the Sox went on to score 8 runs in the last 3 innings to seal the victory. Kit Pellow led the Sox offense with his 9th home run and 4 RBI on the night. Vic Darensbourg recorded the victory out of the bullpen and Brad Clontz shut the door in the 9th on the Cubs to collect his 19th save on the season. The Sox conclude the 3 game series in Iowa Wednesday night when Cory Vance (8-6, 4.46) goes for the Sox against Matt Bruback (4-8, 4.38) for the Cubs.
