South Bay Lakers Acquire Returning Player Rights to Joel Bolomboy

EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired the returning player rights to Joel Bolomboy from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for the returning player rights to Vander Blue, it was announced today by General Manager Nick Mazzella.

In 30 games (29 starts) with Wisconsin last season, Bolomboy posted averages of 16.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 33.2 minutes. The Weber State product shot 55.6 percent from the field last season.

Bolomboy was drafted by the Utah Jazz with the 52nd overall selection in the 2016 NBA Draft and has appeared in 18 career NBA games with the Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-9 forward currently plays for CSKA Moscow in Russia.

In four seasons with South Bay, Blue appeared in 159 games (154 starts) and averaged 24.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals. Blue is South Bay's all-time leader in points, rebounds, minutes, field goals made and free throws made and was named NBA G League MVP in 2016-17.
