Skyforce Announces Partnership with Compassion Child Care of Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has joined forces with Compassion Child Care, a local non-profit, to raise funds for high quality, affordable daycare for working-poor families in Sioux Falls.
The two organizations are hosting a "No Show, Don't Go" Challenge, a unique fundraiser that allows the public to make donations directly to Compassion Child Care at the cost of a basketball ticket. Many hard-working families in the Sioux Falls area experience poverty even though they are employed. Despite their best efforts, they struggle to move forward, especially when some families spend more than 40% of their take-home pay on daycare. Compassion Child Care provides a holistic solution to this problem by offering certified, comprehensive care based on a family's income. At the same time, Compassion Child Care provides services that address other needs the parents and children might face. All the proceeds from the "No Show, Don't Go" Challenge will support the income-based services for working-poor families at Compassion Child Care.
