Mad Ants Fall to Maine, 109-105

PORTLAND, Maine - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants fell to the Maine Red Claws, 109-105, at Portland Expo Building on Friday night in front of a crowd of 1,562. Boston Celtics two-way player Walt Lemon Jr. paced Maine (2-4) with 34 points, six assists and four rebounds. PJ Dozier, also on a two-way contract with Boston, added 27 points on 11-of 22 shooting.

Edmond Sumner followed up his career-best 35 points on Wednesday night with 26, leading the Mad Ants (3-2). Sumner also added six assists and three rebounds.

Alize Johnson finished with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting. He tallied 20 points in the first half and was held to only one field goal in the second half.

Friday night was the first game this season the Mad Ants did not outrebound its opponent.

Ike Anigbogu capped his night with a season-high 17 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Ben Moore and Stephan Hicks were the only other Mad Ants to end up in double figures with 17 and 13 points each.

The Mad Ants will return to action at Memphis on Wednesday, while Maine will head to Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday as well.

Fort Wayne will return home on Thursday, Nov. 26 against Raptors 905. It is $2 beverages for all fans in attendance.
