OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Blue (5-0) staged a fourth-quarter comeback to beat the Sioux Falls Skyforce (6-1), 140-121, on Thursday night. This marks the best start to a season in franchise history.

After trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, OKC went on a 16-6 run to open the fourth quarter to take a 107-106 lead that it would not relinquish for the rest of the game. The Blue outscored the Skyforce 49-21 in the quarter, led by 12 points from two-way player Tyler Davis.

"This was a great win," Head Coach Mark Daigneault said. "They're a hard team to play against because of their shooting, but I thought we hung in there and grinded one out."

Davis finished with a career-high 21 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. He was one of seven in double figures for the Blue, including fellow two-way player Deonte Burton who finished with 17 points and a career-high six assists.

The Blue got off to a quick start and led 13-1 after four minutes of play behind nine points from Scotty Hopson. Rodney Purvis scored 15 first-quarter points to help the Skyforce get back into the game leaving the Blue with a slim 32-31 lead after the first quarter.

Hopson led all scorers with 27 points on 9-10 shooting, while Purvis finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the visitors.

The Blue scored a season-high 72 points in the paint, and outrebounded Sioux Falls, 47-31.

Oklahoma City heads on the road to compete in its first back-to-back tomorrow night at the Texas Legends in the Dr. Pepper Arena at 7:30 p.m.
