
Sounds, Sky Sox Postponed on Friday Night

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The scheduled game between the Nashville Sounds and Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Friday evening at Security Service Field was postponed due to unplayable field conditions resulting from heavy evening rains.
The game, scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. local start, was officially postponed at 9:18 p.m. following a 133-minute delay.
The teams will make up the contest as part of a 4:30 p.m. CT doubleheader on Saturday afternoon that will consist of a pair of seven-inning contests.
In Saturday's opener, right-hander Johnny Hellweg (10-4, 2.44) will man the bump for Nashville and square off against Sky Sox right-hander Chris Volstad (5-4, 4.95).
Left-hander Aaron Laffey (5-5, 5.46) will start the nightcap for the Sounds and face Colorado Springs right-hander Cory Riordan (4-4, 6.75).
