Nashville Sounds News Release
The Nashville Sounds will host six Purity Faith Nights© during the 2011 season, as the successful program enters its tenth successful year at Greer Stadium.
The 2011 Purity Faith Nights© series includes six evening games (May 27, June 3, June 26, July 23, July 31, and August 13).
Multiple Dove Award-winning artist Chris August headlines this season's concert lineup, which also features the debuts of Britt Nicole and Jonny Diaz, and the return of Jaci Velasquez to Greer Stadium.
Purity Faith Nights© -- which were introduced by the Sounds in 2002 and enter their tenth season - have become a staple at Greer Stadium to the delight of families and church groups in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. Purity Faith Nights© feature Christian concerts, fireworks, personal faith stories by Sounds players, and, of course, a fun night at the ballpark.
On each of the six Faith Nights©, gates open 1 1/2 hours before first pitch while Faith Night festivities start roughly one hour before game time.
Church groups of 15 or more can purchase tickets for this special night for only $12. The ticket price includes admission to the concert, reserved seat for the game, a voucher good for one hot dog and a 20 oz. soft drink, and group recognition over the public address system and on the scoreboard. To receive the Faith Nights© ticket special, call a Sounds sales representative or visit www.nashvillesounds.com/faithnights.
The Sounds' Faith Nights program has a strong history of philanthropic support. The team and its fans have built three Faith Houses in the Nashville area in conjunction with the Habitat For Humanity program as well as provided a clean well to a village in Kenya, Africa through a joint venture with multi-platinum Christian recording artist Jars of Clay's Blood:Water Mission.
Purity Dairies has served as the title sponsor of the Faith Nights© series since 2005. Mark Ezell, President of Purity Dairies, sees multiple benefits from the expanding association.
"We are very pleased with our involvement with the Nashville Sounds and, in particular, the Faith Night program," Ezell said. "It is exciting to be a part of such a fun project that promotes values that are consistent with our mission."
Purity heads a group of corporate sponsors that includes 94 FM The Fish, Solid Gospel 105, Show Hope, and LifeWay Christian Stores.
Individual game tickets for Faith Nights or any other game may be purchased by calling the Sounds at (615) 690-HITS ext. 2, ordering through the official team website at www.nashvillesounds.com/faithnights, or by visiting the Greer Stadium box office, located at 534 Chestnut Street.
