Memphis scored six runs in the second inning, as the Redbirds coasted to an 8-1 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday. Angels' lefty Scott Kazmir made his first rehab start for Salt Lake and after a 1-2-3 first inning with two strikeouts, trouble found him in the second. With one out, a bunt single and two walks loaded the bases for Memphis. Kazmir fanned Donovan Solano for the second out, but walked the next two batters to force in the first two runs. Aaron Luna followed with a two-run single and Kazmir's day was over when he hit Nick Stavinoha. Amalio Diaz entered the game and gave up a two-run single to Mark Hamilton to cap off the six-run inning.

Kazmir (0-1) went one and two-third innings and allowed six runs on two hits with four walks, three strikeouts and one hit batter. The Bees managed only six hits off of three Memphis pitchers with their only run coming in on a bases-loaded walk to Dwayne Bailey. Efren Navarro led Salt Lake with two hits, including a double, as the Bees have now lost 14 of their last 17 home games.

"We are going through a rough time right now," said Bees Manager Keith Johnson. "We've got to figure out a way to fix it and get the ship righted. The games are going to keep coming. It's not like all of a sudden we can put a pause on the season. We have got to figure it out, we've got to put some things together and hopefully we will get out of this slump sooner than later."
