Week 8 Recap
The victory snapped their four-game losing streak and pulled them closer to the River Rats in the East Division standings. After losing three straight road games to the Hershey Bears, Hartford Wolf Pack and Albany River Rats, the Sound Tigers returned home on Sunday and defeated the River Rats 4-3 on Jeremy Colliton's winning goal in the shootout.
SOUND TIGERS 4, RIVER RATS 3 (SO)
After losing last night in Albany, the Sound Tigers were able to steal the second game of a home-and-home series with the River Rats in a 4-3 shootout victory, their first of the season. Jeremy Colliton opened and closed the scoring for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, wristing the game-winning shootout goal past Albany net-minder, Michael Leighton to clinch the 4-3 win for the Sound Tigers.
RIVER RATS 5, SOUND TIGERS 2
Darryl Bootland and Gregg Johnson's first goals of the season were not enough to snap the Bridgeport Sound Tigers' losing streak, which is now four games, as the Albany River Rats defeated the Sound Tigers 5-2. Former Sound Tigers Brandon Nolan and Jamie Johnson combined for three points against their former team to help pace the River Rats' offense with four goals in the first period.
WOLF PACK 5, SOUND TIGERS 3
In just his second game back from his reassignment by the parent New York Rangers, Nigel Dawes returned to the Hartford Wolf Pack and scored two goals and two assists to defeat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-3.
BEARS 2, SOUND TIGERS 1
The Hershey Bears defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers tonight 2-1 in the final of three straight games between the two teams. Jeff Tambellini's goal in the second period would not hold up as the Bears answered with two goals, seven minutes apart from each other, in the middle frame, handing the Sound Tigers their second straight loss.
