
Hogs Try To Keep Pace In Tight West Division

Another three games in three nights for the Rockford IceHogs came to a close during Week 8 and the Hogs came away with a pair of points. Rockford now readies for three more contests during Week 9 including a home game on Wednesday against Houston and the club's first match-ups against Eastern Conference foes.
Friday, Nov. 23: Quad City Flames 5 vs. Rockford IceHogs 3 Saturday, Nov. 24: Rockford IceHogs 3 at Chicago Wolves 8
Sun., Nov. 25: Grand Rapids Griffins 1 vs. Rockford IceHogs 3
Bacon Bits:
Rockford is 7-3-0-0 against the AHL's North Division this season including 3-0-0-0 at home
The IceHogs allowed a franchise record-tying five power-play goals on Saturday in Chicago
Center Petri Kontiola became the fifth IceHogs skater to get recalled to the Chicago Blackhawks this season
The other four are Dave Bolland, Dustin Byfuglien, Jake Dowell and Kris Versteeg
With their win on Sunday, the IceHogs improved its record to 3-0-0-0 in the third game of a three-game weekend
Goalie Corey Crawford turned away an IceHogs season-high 42 shots on goal in Rockford's 3-1 win over Grand Rapids on Sunday
Rockford has outscored its opponents 33-22 in the first period this season
The Hogs are 9-2-1-1 when scoring the game's first goal
This week Rockford will play an Eastern Conference team for the time when they travel to Providence and Manchester
Hot Hog Week 8:
After getting re-assigned to Rockford from Chicago, center Dave Bolland didn't miss a beat in his return to the IceHogs. Bolland had a goal and three assists in Rockford's three-game week. Bolland spent three weeks with the Blackhawks before returning to the IceHogs.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Nov. 28 vs. Houston Aeros. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs are home to take on the Aeros for a second time this season and first at the Rockford MetroCentre. Wednesday is Crown Royal Night with the IceHogs at the MetroCentre.
Friday, Nov. 30 at Providence Bruins. The puck drops at 6:05 p.m. Rockford hits the road for a brief two-game swing out east. The match-up is Rockford's first ever against an Eastern Conference club. The Bruins have been red hot to start the season and the IceHogs will look to cool them down at the Dunkin Donunts Center.
Saturday, Dec. 1 at Manchester Monarchs. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. Rockford concludes Week 9 of the 2007-08 regular season at the Verizon Wireless Center against the Monarchs. Rockford and Manchester will meet up twice this season, including once more at the Rockford MetroCentre in January.

IceHogs fans can now catch every IceHogs regular season game live on TV! Every IceHogs home game during the 2007-08 season can be viewed on Insight Cable Channel-57. When the IceHogs are on the road fans can watch them live at Damon's Grill in Rockford. Fans can take advantage of great Bud Light specials and food specials at Damon's Grill.
Hog Talk Tonight At Cousin's Bar and Grill:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin's Bar and Grill! Cousin's Bar and Grill is the site for the IceHogs weekly talk show. Appearing on the show this week is Hogs defenesman Jerramie Domish and center Dave Bolland. The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T. Bud Light Hog Talk returns to the airwaves as well, as fans can tune in live to 1330-AM, WNTA to catch the show. Come out to Cousin's Bar and Grill to talk Hogs hockey and enjoy some great Bud Light and food specials!
