Rivermen Host Big Buddy Night

November 26, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Peoria Rivermen News Release

The Peoria Rivermen announced today that the Friday, December 14 game against the Chicago Wolves will be the team's first Big Buddy Night of the season, and the team encourages everyone to get involved!

Aimed at helping to bring less-fortunate children to a hockey game during the holiday season, the program is underwritten by the support of local businesses and individuals just like you! Sponsoring a child for the night costs $10 and gives them the chance to have a great professional sports experience. Plus, Santa Claus will be in attendance at the game as well!

In addition, those individuals and businesses that sponsor children to come to the game will receive one ticket per sponsored child in the Rivermen's end of the year raffle, which includes great prizes such as a 42" LCD TV from UFS Downtown Outlet Center, a $750 shopping spree at UFS, two (2) round trip airline tickets form American Airlines, and an Ultimate Rivermen Fan prize pack!

To sponsor a child at the game, please call the Rivermen front office at (309) 676-1040 and speak to a Rivermen representative!

Friday will also feature an appearance by Drake Bell from Nickelodeon's "Drake and Josh" during which he will sign autographs for all fans in attendance that night. The game is also Illinois Pork Producers Night with 2,500 "Kiss A Pig" Cups going to fans that evening as well.

Tickets are on sale now for all remaining Rivermen home games at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, through all TicketMaster locations, on line at www.TicketMaster.com, and charge by phone at (309) 676-8700.
