Rewind:

Wednesday, Pirates 3 vs. DEVILS 0

The Devils suffered their first shutout of the season at the hands of the Pirates. Andrew Ebbett and Brian Salcido each had a goal and an assist for Portland. Tyler Bouck provided some insurance with just 59 seconds remaining before Salcido added an empty-netter. Lowell outshot Portland 31-29, but went 0-for-3 on the power play and 4-of-5 on the penalty kill.

Friday, River Rats 3 vs. DEVILS 0

The Devils were handed their second consecutive shutout as they fell at home to the River Rats. Albany forward Ryan Bayda had a hand in all of the goals, scoring two and assisting on Mark Flood's game-winner at 13:59 of the second. Bayda put the game away for the River Rats with two goals in a span of 1:55 during the final period. The Devils held the shot advantage once again, 30-29, and also went a perfect 9-for-9 on the penalty kill.

Saturday, WOLF PACK 3 vs. Devils 2 (OT)

Stephen Gionta tipped in a power play goal with 66 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime, but the Wolf Pack prevailed in sudden death on Pierre Parenteau's game-winner. Petr Vrana's marker on the man-advantage in the first ended a scoring drought of 170:41 for Lowell. Frank Doyle made 35 saves in the loss, while Noah Clarke notched helpers on both goals by the Devils.

Sunday, DEVILS 4 vs. Pirates 3

Grant Marshall registered the game-winning goal and two assists in downing the Pirates on Sunday afternoon. Trailing 2-0 in the second period, Marshall helped Lowell tie the game, assisting on Jason Rynzar's marker and Noah Clarke's power play goal. With the score tied 3-3 with 3:06 left in the game, Marshall's point shot on the man-advantage proved to be the difference. Parise recorded 28 saves on the night for his third win of the year.

In the standings

The Devils finished the weekend strong, collecting three points in their final two games and ending a five-game winless streak (0-4-1-0). Lowell remains in seventh place in the Atlantic Division, but sits just one point behind the Manchester Monarchs and two back of the Worcester Sharks. With three games in three days this weekend, the Devils have some opportunity to move up the standings.

Coming Up

The Devils will play three contests in three days this weekend with home games on Friday and Sunday. On Friday, November 30, the Springfield Falcons make their first trip of the season to Tsongas Arena. The Falcons took the first meeting, 4-2, on November 9. Springfield dropped a two-game set to Norfolk last weekend and is in the midst of a six-game road stretch.

Lowell will in turn make its first visit to the Arena at Harbor Yard to skate against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The Devils lead the season series 2-0-0 with both wins coming on their home ice. Bridgeport stopped a four-game slide on Sunday with a 4-3 shootout win over Albany. C Ben Walter is on a five-game point streak (1g, 5a) and ranks third on the team in scoring with 13 points (5g, 8a).

The Manchester Monarchs come to town on Sunday afternoon for their fourth match of the season against the Lowell Devils. The Devils own the season series thus far, 3-0, including a 5-2 victory on November 10. Manchester leads the AHL on the power play at 27.0 % (24-for-89) with just under 53% of the offense coming on the man-advantage. D Peter Harrold has five goals in his last three games.
