
Sound Tigers To Host Hartford, Head Out Of Town

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will host the Hartford Wolf Pack tomorrow, Friday, October 24th, at 7:35 p.m. before playing the first of five straight road games when they visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
The first two-thousand fans who enter Friday's game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard will receive a Sound Tigers Rally Towel. Utopia of Norwalk will present a Halloween Costume Party with prizes awarded for the best costumes during the first intermission. There will be a Booster Club Chuck A Puck during the second intermission. Ryan Kraft will also sign autographs on the arena concourse after the game.
Fans can sign up for the third-annual Best Bar in Black Rock Pub Crawl for the Homeless at a special table on the arena concourse Friday. Tickets cost $8 if purchased in advance, and all participants are asked to donate non-perishable food items on Saturday. The Best Bar in Black Rock Pub Crawl for the Homeless will benefit Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Center for Women and Families, Families in Transition, Thomas Merton House and Prospect House. Black Rock & Blue, Picasso's, Acoustic Cafe, Black Rock Castle and Paddy Mac's will all participate in Saturday's event, which will take place from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Friday's game will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com. Saturday's game is subject to pre-emption on WICC by Yankees baseball but will be broadcast live, as all Sound Tigers' games this season will be, at www.soundtigers.com.
Following this weekend's games, the Sound Tigers will visit the Utah Grizzlies on Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st, the Providence Bruins on Saturday, November 8th and the Philadelphia Phantoms on Sunday, November 9th. They will return to Bridgeport for the second of four weekday matinees at Harbor Yard when they host the Norfolk Admirals on Veterans' Day, Tuesday, November 11th, at 4:05 p.m.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
