Manchester Monarchs News Release

MANCHESTER, NH – Because of a scheduling conflict, the Manchester Monarchs game against the Providence Bruins on Sunday, October 26 will be broadcast in Manchester on Rock 101 FM (WGIR-FM) instead of Newsradio 610 AM (WGIR-AM). Radio coverage of the Monarchs on Rock 101 FM and the rest of the Monarchs Radio Network (WGIN 930 AM, WGIP 1540 AM and WTSL 1400 AM) will begin with pre-game show coverage at 3:35 p.m. Sunday's game at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence is slated for a 4:05 p.m. start. The Monarchs Web cast of Sunday's game (www.monarchshockey.com/multimedia) will not be affected by the scheduling conflict.

Because of scheduling conflicts, three other Monarchs games will also be broadcast on Rock 101 FM rather than Newsradio 610 AM during the 2003-04 season. The affected dates include: Sunday, November 23 vs. the Springfield Falcons (4:05 p.m.); Sunday, November 30 vs. the Worcester IceCats(4:05 p.m.); and Saturday, December 20 vs. the Utah Grizzlies (9:05 p.m.).

As is the case this weekend, Monarchs fans living outside of the Manchester area will not be affected by the radio scheduling conflict.

The Monarchs begin a three-game weekend road trip by facing off in Lowell against the Lock Monsters on Friday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. The Monarchs then head to Hartford to take on the Wolf Pack on Saturday, October 25 at 7:05 p.m., before closing the weekend with a 4:05 p.m. contest in Providence against the Bruins.

The Monarchs return home for a 7:35 p.m. game against the Lowell Lock Monsters on Saturday, November 1. All fans in attendance at Saturday's game will receive an 8 x 10 photo of defenseman Joe Rullier sponsored by the NH Tobacco Prevention and Control Program. If you have Rullier's autograph on the back of your photo, you and a guest will get to meet the defenseman after the game.
