Brad Larsen Recalled to Colorado Avalanche

With Paul Kariya out indefinately with a wrist injury, forward Brad Larsen was recalled Wednesday afternoon from HERSHEY. Larsen, leading the BEARS in scoring at the time of recall with two goals and six points, reports to Denver immediately. The Avalanche announced at the same time a trade with the Washington Capitals. Colorado acquires left wing Steve Konowalchuk and a third round selection in the 2004 Entry Draft from the Capitals. In return, the Avalanche gave up the services of Bates Battaglia and the rights to forward Jonas Johansson.

HERSHEY puts a 4-0-1-0 mark on the line Friday as the team travels to Binghamton to take on the Senators. Air time Friday night is 6:45 on BIG 92.7 FM with John Walton.
