Kouba Re-Assigned to Adirondack

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League today announced that forward Ladislav Kouba has been re-assigned to the Adirondack IceHawks of the United Hockey League.

Kouba was a seventh-round selection (216th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old has played 2 games with Springfield this season. While not registering a point, the Vimperk, Czech Republic native owns a +1 rating and has collected 2 penalty minutes with the Falcons. The forward posted 40 points (12g, 28a) in 68 regular season games with Red Deer of the Western Hockey League last season.

Kouba is expected to skate for Adirondack in the club's season-opening contest on Friday evening versus the Columbus Stars in Glens Falls, New York.

The Falcons travel for a pair of road games this weekend. The team will face the Worcester IceCats on Friday night beginning at 7:05 pm. Springfield will meet the Albany River Rats on Saturday evening in a 7:00 pm contest. Neither game this weekend will be broadcast on radio.
