
Sound Tigers Sign Dusbabek To PTO

NORFOLK, VA - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have signed Right Wing Joe Dusbabek to a professional tryout contract. Dusbabek drove from Roanoke, Virginia, where he had been playing with the ECHL's Roanoke Express, to Norfolk last night to join the Sound Tigers for a pair of weekend road games versus the Norfolk Admirals tonight and tomorrow.
Dusbabek, 25, has ten goals, 19 assists, 29 points and 44 penalty minutes in 33 games with Roanoke this season and was nearly a point-per-game player with 27 goals, 34 assists and 61 points in addition to 143 penalty minutes in 62 games with the Express last season. The 6'1" 205-pound native of Faribault, Minnesota has played every game of his four-year, 2000-04, professional career with Roanoke. He played the previous four seasons, 1996-2000, at the University of Notre Dame.
The Sound Tigers will begin a stretch of six straight road games, as well as a stretch in which they play eight of their next ten games away from home tonight and tomorrow in Norfolk. Tonight's game will face-off at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM and at www.soundtigers.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. Tomorrow's game will begin at 4 p.m. and will be web cast live at www.soundtigers.com beginning at 3:45 p.m.
Sound Tigers individual-game tickets are on sale at the Harbor Yard box office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on all game days, as well as on-line at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 203-368-1000.
