Sound Tigers Host St. Baldrick's Event Prior to Season Finale

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Apr. 6, 2011) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Webster Bank Arena will host their third annual St. Baldrick's Foundation head-shaving event prior to their regular season finale Sunday, April 10 at 3 p.m. against the Albany Devils.
This marks the third season the Sound Tigers have hosted their St. Baldrick's Foundation event in support of TeamBrent to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Fans who participate in the event will shave their heads in exchange for a donation towards childhood cancer research and will also receive a ticket to the Sound Tigers game against Albany on Sunday afternoon.
The event will be emceed by MSG reporter Deb Placey and will begin at 10 a.m. with registration and Opening Ceremonies. The Total Look Salons and Academy will shave heads from 10:45 a.m. through the second intermission of the Sound Tigers game. Preregistraion has already exceeded totals from last year's event and fans can still continue to register at TeamBrent.com. =46ans who do not preregister can still come to the event on Sunday, have their heads shaved in exchange for a donation and receive a ticket to the game. The Sound Tigers will also host a pre-game open skate from 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and fans must bring their own skates.
TeamBrent is a group which was formed in 2005 to battle childhood cancer alongside three-year old Brent, a Southport, Conn. native who was fighting Stage IV Neuroblastoma. Brent is now a survivor who has no recollection of his treatment, and TeamBrent has raised over $5 million in donations towards childhood cancer research.
