NORFOLK, Va. - The Orlando Solar Bears (10-12-4-0) got two third-period goals but were unable to complete a comeback against the Norfolk Admirals (8-16-1-0), ultimately falling by a 4-2 score on Friday night at the Norfolk Scope.

ON THE SCORESHEET

Joe Perry collected his first goal of the season at 9:35 of the third period to cut Orlando's 2-0 deficit in half. Perry grabbed his own rebound off the pads of Ty Reichenbach and buried it for his 36th career goal with the Solar Bears, moving past Jacob Cepis and Brady Vail for sole possession of third place on the franchise goal-scoring list. Perry now only trails Eric Faille (51) and Brett Findlay (38). Max Novak scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season at 19:51 of the third period to chip away at Norfolk's lead, and also earned an assist on Perry's goal. Nolan Valleau earned the secondary assist on Perry's goal, and now has a two-game point streak (1g-1a). Cal Heeter took the loss with 24 saves on 26 shots against.

Kristian Pospisil led Orlando with nine shots on goal. The Solar Bears conclude their season-high 10-game road trip when they battle the Norfolk Admirals at the Norfolk Scope on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. The Solar Bears are back at home to face the Norfolk Admirals on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center.
