
Royals Acquire F Colin Martin from Brampton

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals have acquired forward Colin Martin from the Brampton Beast for future considerations, the team announced Wednesday. Martin has one goal and three assists this season, spending one game with Toledo and eight with the Beast. Brampton acquired Martin from Toledo in November.
In his rookie ECHL season, the native of London, ON had 22 goals and 33 points in 47 games with Utah. He was a 2012 OHL champion with the London Knights.
After playing parts of four seasons for London, he skated at St. Thomas University in Canada from 2012-16. He totaled 23 goals, 57 points and 246 PIMs in 99 games.
Reading also announced defenseman Sam Posa has been suspended and removed from the active roster.
The Royals play three home games this weekend starting Fri., Dec. 16 with a game against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00 p.m. On Sat., Dec. 16 against the Nailers, it's the annual Teddy Bear Toss game and Ugly Sweater Jerseys. Plus, the first 2,000 fans receive a Royals Christmas ornament, presented by Met-Ed. Sunday's game against Adirondack features $5 Green Zone tickets, magnet photo frame giveaway and dollar dogs, presented by Tower Health.
