
Solar Bears Come Back in the Third for 4-2 Win

Cincinnati, OH - The Solar Bears erased a 2-1 deficit midway through the third to collect a 4-2 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati on Wednesday night. F Zach Harrison and F David Rutherford scored goals 13 seconds apart to give the Solar Bears a 3-2 lead midway through the third.
Late in the first period, the Cyclones got on the board first. D David MacDonald found himself open at the top of the right circle and snapped the puck through traffic and underneath the crossbar at 16:42 to put Cincinnati ahead 1-0. The score held through the remainder of the period as G John Curry stopped 12 of 13 shots in the frame.
D Zachary Yuen evened up the score in the late stages of the second period. Yuen took a pass from F Mike Ullrich and fired a wrister under the crossbar, tying the game at 1-1. It was the first professional goal for Yuen.
The tie contest was snapped 5:44 into the final stanza. F Wade Megan found a rebound after a pair of saves by Curry and lifted the puck under the crossbar to give Cincinnati a 2-1 advantage. Orlando struck back to tie the game at 7:56 of the third when D Colton Jobke had his wrist shot deflected by F Zach Harrison and into the cage. Just 13 seconds later, Orlando grabbed the lead as F David Rutherford blasted a one-time shot past G Rob Madore to put Orlando ahead 3-2. F Tyler Murovich capped off the scoring with an empty net goal with 50 seconds left in the period to secure the 4-2 win for the Solar Bears.

F Josh Caron was activated from the 21-Day IR before the game and dressed for the first time in the regular season. He last appeared with Orlando in the final preseason game against the Florida Everblades on October 12... The Solar Bears have now won four straight games and their last two road contests... F Zach Harrison and F Tyler Murovich each notched a goal and two assists... D Zach Yuen registered his first professional goal in the second period... Colton Jobke notched his first pro point with an assist on the game tying goal... G John Curry was named the ECHL Goalie of the Week yesterday and stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced in the game.
