See Slappy and the K-Wings Around Town this Weekend

Kalamazoo, MI- Fans that want to eat with the Kalamazoo Wings will have plenty of chances this weekend.

On Saturday, November 16th Kalamazoo's favorite mascot, Slappy along with forward John Armstrong will be at Burdick's for Breakfast, which is located at 100 W. Michigan Ave. (Located on 2nd Floor in the Radisson), Kalamazoo, Michigan, for a character breakfast from 9:30-11:30 am.

Later that day, defensemen Sam Ftorek and Mike Matczak will visit the Kalamazoo Wings Booster Club Bake Sale from 12-1 pm at Sam's Club, 7021 S Westnedge Ave, Portage, Michigan.

On Sunday, November 17th, forwards Matt Caria, Aaron Clarke, Ray Kaunisto and Justin Taylor will head to Old Burdick's Downtown (Located on 1st Floor in the Radisson) from 1-3 pm.

The K-Wings will start the week this Friday, November 15th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the defending Kelly Cup champions, the Reading Royals on Military Appreciation Night featuring a special appearance from former Detroit Lions kicker Jason Hanson presented by Fox-17. Hanson will be signing autographs between 6:30-8:30 in the concourse. Fans are allowed to bring in items for Hanson to sign (one autograph per fan).

Friday night will also feature $2 beers, $2 hot dogs and $1 Pepsi products.

Also on November 15th, Broncos for Heroes will be collecting items for care packages to send to soldiers. Broncos for Heroes are requesting cards, letters, food ( Oreos, powdered drink mixes, Beef Jerky, Slim Jims, Sunflower seeds, Granola bars, anything caffeinated and coffee filters), toiletries, (lip balm, sun block, eye drops, vitamins, breath mints, nail clippers and wet wipes), and other items including card games, music gift cards, calling cards, AA batteries, air fresheners (non Aerosol), combination laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets, towels, washcloths, toys and school supplies for foreign children, baseball hats, sports banners and twin sized bed sheets.

Kalamazoo will conclude home stand this Saturday, November 16th versus the Cincinnati Cyclones. Saturday night will be Player Poster Giveaway Night (first 2,000 fans) and a post-game meet the players gathering presented by Fox-17.

November 16th will also be the first of three (Nov. 16th, Jan. 17th & Mar. 29th) Hockey and Hops events where fans can purchase a $10 beer passport that gets you five Michigan craft beer/cider 5 oz. samples & you'll be entered to win a signed K-Wings item!

Tickets for all 36 K-Wings home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket office hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Regular season ticket prices for home games are $13 and $17.50 for adults and only $7 for kids ages 12 and under. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice games and the New Year's Eve game) are just $1 more. Fans can save money by purchasing K-Wings single-game tickets in advance. Tickets purchased on the day of a game increase by $2 (adults only).

Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans, along with full-season and group ticket packages may be ordered through the K-Wings Sales office by calling (269) 743-6011.
