Matchup:

The Solar Bears hit the road to battle the Cincinnati Cyclones tonight to begin a three game road trip in the North Division. Orlando is coming off a three game homestand that saw the Solar Bears earn a win over Elmira on Thursday and then back-to-back victories over the Toledo Walleye on Sunday and Monday. Forward Francis Verreault-Paul picked up his first two goals as a Solar Bear on Monday night, starting the scoring less than two minutes into the game and then giving Orlando a two goal cushion striking with less than two minutes left in the contest. Cincinnati has started the season off red hot, earning seven straight wins before falling to the Fort Wayne Komets 3-2 on Saturday. The Cyclones seven game win streak included five games that were decided by just one goal, and three wins came during overtime or a shootout. Orlando finished the season 1-1-0-0 against Cincinnati last season.

Blake Kessel Loaned to Rockford (Chicago Blackhawks Affiliate):

The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that defenseman Blake Kessel has been loaned to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL). Kessel played in the two Solar Bears wins over Toledo on Sunday and Monday, picking up an assist in his Solar Bears debut before earning a goal and two assists on Monday night.

In his AHL career, Kessel has played 63 games for the Adirondack Phantoms, scoring three goals and adding 19 assists for 22 points.
