CHARLESTON, S.C. - Kramer Sneed turned in four sparkling innings of relief while the offense railed with two runs in the seventh to lead the Charleston RiverDogs over the Augusta GreenJackets, 4-2, in South Atlantic League action Friday night in front of a crowd of 6,087 fans at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

Charleston moved to 20-22 with the win, picking up its eighth victory in 10 games, while Augusta regressed to 16-26 in defeat.

Since moving to the bullpen, Sneed (3-4) is 2-0 with eight strikeouts in nine innings, and has yet to allow a run, yielding only five hits.

Charleston starter Nik Turley worked out of a bases-loaded jam to keep Augusta off the ledger in the top of the first. Turley hit two batters and walked a man, but fanned Devin Harris and induced a groundout from Ryan Scoma to escape the frame unscathed.

Slade Heathcott saw his average drop under the .300 mark with a 0-for-6 night on Thursday, but helped the RiverDogs take a 1-0 lead off GreenJackets starter Austin Fleet in the bottom of the first.

Heathcott slapped a line drive single to left, and moved into scoring position by swiping his fifth base of the year. Ramon Flores delivered him to the plate, registering an RBI single on a liner into centerfield.

Augusta knotted the score at 1-1 in the third, courtesy of an Adam Duvall home run. The former Louisville Cardinal took over the league lead in homers, lofting a solo shot off the top of the scoreboard in left-centerfield.

Fleet lost the strike zone in the fourth, as the RiverDogs moved back in front, 2-1. Rob Segedin, Gary Sanchez, and Kelvin De Leon all walked with one out, forcing Fleet from the hill. Jose Toussen greeted Augusta reliever Brett Bochy with a RBI groundout, plating Segedin for the Charleston advantage.

Segedin's run was charged to Fleet, who lasted a season-low 3.1 innings. The Coastal Carolina product yielded the two runs on five hits and three walks without striking out a single batter.

Carlos Willoughby cracked a ground-rule double to left-centerfield to jumpstart a Augusta rally in the fifth, as the GreenJackets scratched across a run to tie the game, 2-2. Ehire Adrianza produced the run, plugging the hole on the left side of the infield to send Willoughby scurrying home.

Turley regained his composure to keep the tally even, striking out the final two batters of the inning to finish with six total for the contest. The 6-6 southpaw was effective in his five innings of work, permitting the two runs on three hits, two walks, and a pair of hit batsman.

Bochy kept the Charleston bats quiet in the fifth and sixth innings, but the bottom of the order flipped the switch, as the RiverDogs surged ahead against Mario Rodriguez (0-4) in the seventh.

Toussen began the charge, bouncing a single into centerfield. Heathcott stepped into the box next, and notched his third hit of the night, showing off his wheels by legging out a bunt back to the pitcher. Anderson Feliz singled, loading the bases with nobody out for Flores.

Flores could not take advantage of the RBI chance but did advance Charleston back into the lead, grounding into a double play which scored Toussen from third. J.R. Murphy tacked on another score, ripping a double into the left field corner to plate Heathcott and account for the final 4-2 margin.

Heathcott finished 3-for-4 and made a brilliant diving catch in center field to steal a base hit from Scoma in the sixth.
