
Snappers Win in Extra Innings on Walk Off Shot by Lis

Eric Lis ended a wild four hour marathon game that lasted 12 innings, with 21 runs, 27 hits and 10 errors with his first home run of the season. With the Snappers trailing 10-9 in the bottom of the 12th, Paul Kelly led off with an infield single. Lis then hit a two-run game winning home run to right field, his first of the season, giving Beloit an 11-10 win. The Snappers pounded out 15 hits, while the Timber Rattlers countered with 12. Starting pitcher Kyle Waldrop left with a 6-2 lead in the top of the sixth inning, before the Timber Rattlers exploded for six runs in the inning to take an 8-6 lead. The Snappers battled back to tie the game at eight, after scoring two runs in the bottom of the eighth. In the top of the ninth J.B. Tucker hit a solo home run, giving Wisconsin a 9-8 lead. Beloit tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on an unearned run. Tucker hit his second home run of the game in the top of the 12th to put Wisconsin up 10-9. Lis then ended the game with the walk off home run in the bottom of the inning. Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers play the final game of their three game series with their in-state rival, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, Wednesday, April 12. First pitch is set for 6:30 pm at Pohlman Field.
