Snappers' Six Game Slate to Include BirdZerk, Zooperstars

BELOIT, WI - After winning the Western Division First Half Championship, the Beloit Snappers have continued to tear up the Midwest League in the second half. The Snappers now welcome a pair of Eastern Division foes to Pohlman Field for three games each, first the Lake County Captains (Indians), followed by the Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres). This homestand will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting of the season, thanks to visits from BirdZerk! and the Zooperstars. These are two of the most popular acts in baseball and they are both sure to provide entertainment for fans of all ages. BirdZerk!, along with his friends, have been visiting minor league ballparks around the country for years and was named minor league baseball's top promotional act in 2008. The night will include an endless number of antics both on the field and in the crowd, providing the perfect start to anybody's weekend. The next day will be just as thrilling because of the Zooperstars. This nomadic group of fantastic performers will make Saturday night one of the best nights of the year at Pohlman Field. With the Zooperstars in the park, there is no telling what will happen next. These events, along with the usual bevy of special offers, combine to make this as good a chance as any to check out a Snappers game.

Wednesday, July 10th vs. Lake County Captains, 7:00pm, Social Media Wendesday

Three hours before the game, the right field deck will open up and give everyone 21 and over the chance to watch batting practice. From 4:00pm to 5:30pm, you can enter the deck free of charge, watch BP and enjoy drafts of Miller and Leinenkugel fot just $1.50. The fans are given the chance to choose the day's discount that will be available at Pohlman Field for Social Media Wednesday. Thursday, July 11th vs. Lake County Captains, 7:00pm, Snappy Hour

On Thursday, Snappy Hour provides ballpark patrons with a great drink special. The Firehouse Grill will have 8oz drafts of Miller Lite for only $1 while small sodas at the main stand will also be $1. On the Sud's O'Hanahan's Bullpen Deck and the Miller On Deck, it will cost only $3 for rail mixed drinks.

Friday, July 12th vs. Lake County Captains, 7:00pm, BirdZerk! presented by Kandu Industries and Best Events Catering

The Snappers welcome BirdZerk!, baseball's top traveling act, to Pohlman Field on Friday. With BirdZerk!, on hand, along with his friends Zerk! Jr., Air BirdZerk! and BallZerk!, there won't be a dull moment in the stadium on this night. This production is sure to provide a night of good, clean fun for anyone on hand.

Saturday, July 13th vs. Fort Wayne TinCaps, 7:00pm, Zooperstars

If BirdZerk! wasnt enough, the fabulous Zooperstars will be in the park on Saturday, offering another wild evening full of unexpected laughs and non-stop excitement. The Zooperstars will bring their cast of many, including Harry Canary, LeBronco James and Tiger Woodschuck, to the ballpark. No one, not fans, players or umpires, will be safe from their antics.

Sunday, July 14th vs. Fort Wayne TinCaps, 2:00pm, National Guard Jersey Auction, Stateline News Family Fun Sunday

On Sunday, the Snappers will once again be wearing alternate uniforms and this time it will be in honor of our local National Guardsmen. The team will don camouflage jerseys that will be sold off in a silent auction during the game. Don't forget to check the Stateline News for your buy-one, get-one ticket coupon on Stateline News Family Fun Sunday. Leinie's 12oz bottles are just $1.50 on Sunday, thanks to Ott Schweitzer Distributing. Fans can come on the field after the game to run the bases and play catch in the outfield, weather permitting.

Monday, July 15th vs. Fort Wayne TinCaps, 12:00pm, Snappers Summer Camp Day, WJVL/WCLO, Ott Schweitzer Monster Deal Monday

On Monday afternoon, Pohlman Field will play host to daytime baseball on Snappers Summer Camp Day. Summer Camps may sign up in advance for discounted tickets. Monday means Monster Deal Monday at the park, sponsored by WJVL and WCLO. For $22, you can purchase two general admission tickets along with two hot dogs, two soft drinks, two popcorns and two adjustable road Snappers caps.
