Jeremias Pineda Activated from 7-day Disabled List

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that INF Jeremias Pineda has been activated from the 7-day disabled list. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.

Pineda went on the DL back on July 1st with a right hamstring strain. He has played in 24 games for the Kernels, batting .173 with a HR and five RBI. The Twins acquired Pineda in a trade with Boston during the 2012 season.

Pineda is active and available for tonight's 6:35 pm game with the Dayton Dragons. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with one player currently on the disabled list.
