
Snappers Return Favor, Pound Cougars

The Snappers defeated the Cougars 11-2 tonight, in the second game of a three game series. Kane County jumped out to a one run lead in the top of the first inning. Beloit then answered with two runs in their half of the first with a Chris Brown double, putting Beloit up 2-1 after the end of the first. The Snappers added three runs in the second and then two more runs in the third to make it 7-1 after the third inning. Both teams went scoreless in the fourth and then each added another run in the fifth inning. Kane County would not score again, while Beloit would add one more run in the seventh off a Jeremy Pickrel solo shot, and two more in the eighth to make the final score 11-2 Beloit. Kyle Waldrop got the win while pitching five innings, striking out seven batters while walking only 2.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Cougars will play the last game of this three game series Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 pm at Pohlman Field.
