
Snappers Lose Fourth Straight

Burlington defeated Beloit 5-4 tonight at Pohlman Field. For the Snappers this was their fourth straight loss overall and the second straight to Burlington. The Bees led 4-0 going into the bottom of the third when Vinny Rottino hit a three run home run to make it 4-3. Burlington added another run in the top of the fifth to take a 5-3 advantage. Beloit narrowed the gap to 5-4 after scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh. Justin Barnes (2-1) took the loss for the Snappers after going 5.1 innings allowing five runs on six hits. Rottino led the offense going 1 for 3 with a home run and three RBI's.
These two teams will play again Wednesday, September 1st at Pohlman Field with first pitch coming at 7:00 PM.
