
Snappers Drop Second Straight

For the second game in a row West Michigan defeated Beloit. The Whitecaps took a 1-0 lead on a homerun by Nick McIntyre. The Snappers answered back with a two run homerun by Deacon Burns. Snappers starting pitcher, Matt Garza, was then able to silence the Whitecaps' bats for four innings before giving up another homerun in the sixth inning to Jeff Frazier. The Snappers still had a four run lead after scoring two runs in the second and two in the fourth on a two run homerun by Trevor Plouffe. The Whitecaps offense exploded in the eighth inning, stringing together six hits and scoring six runs to take a two run lead, as they hung on to win 8-6.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Whitecaps face off again tomorrow, Thursday August 4th at Pohlman Field starting at 7:00 pm.
