The LumberKings got five shutout innings from starter Kea Kometani (1-0; 2.45) who scattered four hits and did not issue a base on balls before turning the ball over to Daniel Touchet (0.82 ERA) who continued his outstanding season with three shutout frames, allowing two hits and no walks.
Ben Harrison (.255 / .330 / .374) went 3-4 with a double and a walk, driving in a run in Clinton's two-run first. Brandon Boggs (.276 / .374 / .483) went 2-4 with a walk, his eighth stolen base of the year and a first inning run.
