History was made at Fifth Third Field last year when Mike Hessman became the all-time Minor League Baseball home run king. The Toledo Mud Hens and the Ohio Poultry Farmers will pay tribute to that historic feat with a Mike Hessman 433 Egg Jersey Bobblehead giveaway on Sunday, May 15.
This commerative bobblehead, given to the first 2,000 fans entering Fifth Third Field on May 15, will feature Mike Hessman hitting home run #433 in his egg-themed jersey.
During the 2015 Mud Hens season, Mike hit two home runs wearing the egg-themed Mud Hens jersey against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, including home run #433 that broke the all-time Minor League Baseball Home Run Record. The egg jersey will forever be recognized as it has been sent to its permanent home in Cooperstown at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
May 15 is the final day of the annual "Eggs vs. Bacon" series between the Toledo Mud Hens (wearing egg-themed jerseys) and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (wearing bacon-themed jerseys).
On Sunday, May 15, the Mud Hens take on Lehigh Valley at 2:05 p.m.
