TRAVERSE CITY, MI- The Midwest Sliders of Ypsilanti take the second game of the series with the Traverse City Beach Bums 3-2, in front of the second largest crowd of 6,387 at Wuerfel Park.
The Sliders jumped out to a early lead, and pitching held on for a close one-run win.
Clay McCord walked to begin the third and stole second to put himself in scoring position. Zace Pace singled and McCord scored off a throwing error by the second baseman to give the Sliders a 1-0 lead.
After Jimmy Baker reached on an error in the fourth, Robbie Knapp singled him home, to put Midwest up two. McCord produced again by doubling to left field, which scored Knapp making it 3-0.
