
Silver Hawks Hitting Magical Numbers in 2013

South Bend, Indiana (August 12, 2013)- The support from the community has led your Silver Hawks to a record breaking season. Two notable nights, Opening night and the July 3rd Independence Celebration, broke franchise fan attendance records with 5,650 fans Opening Night and 7,287 on July 3rd. Your Silver Hawks have hit yet another milestone in the 2013 season; total attendance has surpassed last year's total number of fans of 189,575 during game 59 on the evening of Thursday August 7th.
Currently for the 2013 season the Silver Hawks' total attendance is sitting at 198,981. With 10 games left in the season the Silver Hawks are projected to hit between 230,000-235,000 total fans for the year. In addition to the two franchise single game records this season the Silver Hawks have already had 17 sellouts in 2013 vs. only 7 in 2012.
"I can't say it enough, this is a great community and we continue to be humbled by the fan support and the positive feedback we receive. It has always been our goal to provide the best experience possible and provide a venue the region can be proud of. It has been an exciting year all the way around. The team is going to the playoffs, the attendance is up and on August 17th we will draw the 5,000,000 fan in team history. It should be a proud moment for the community," Stated Joe Hart, Team President.
Soon to be celebrated is the 5 millionth fan to walk through the gates at Coveleski Regional Stadium. The 5 millionth fan will win a trip for four to Disney World. The trip includes airfare, hotel accommodations for 4 days and 3 nights, park passes compliments of the South Bend Silver Hawks and the South Bend Tribune. The fan must be present to win. Currently the Silver Hawks are only 586 fans away from the magic number.
The South Bend Silver Hawks are a Class A minor league team affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC whose sole shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago, IL.
