Kernels Home stand: August 14-16

The Kernels only have 10 home games remaining in the regular season, so make sure to take in a Kernels game soon! Here's a preview of what you can expect these next three dates:

August 14-16 vs. Beloit

The Kernels open a three game home stand against the Beloit Snappers, the Midwest League affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.

You'll want to be here when the gates open at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 14th for Free Money Wednesday. The Kernels are giving out $1,000 at the main gates every Wednesday home game with the top cash prize of $100. First pitch between the Kernels and Beloit is set for 6:35 pm.

It's a Z 102.9 Thirsty Thursday when the Kernels take on Beloit at 6:35 pm on Thursday, August 15th. Get 12 oz. regular draft beer and 20 oz. bottled soda and water for just $2 all game. Plus, get $1 off margaritas at the Hacienda Las Glorias / La Cantina Mexican Cart. Gates open at 5:30 pm.

Break out the black and gold for Hawkeye Sports Night on Friday, August 16th. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free black & gold Kernels t-shirt and fans wearing Hawkeye clothing receive a discount on tickets. The Kernels are wearing special Hawkeye jerseys that will be sold during the game via a silent auction with the proceeds to benefit the Linn County I-Club. It's also a 98.1 KHAK Friday Mug Club where fans can purchase a 16 oz. souvenir mug for $6 and get it filled with regular draft beer or soda at the concession stands. Refills are just $3 all night and bring your mug back to the FINAL Friday Mug Club night on August 30th for $3. And, after the game enjoy a spectacular FIREWORKS show, presented by Bank of the West. Gates open at 5:30 pm and first pitch between the Kernels and Snappers is set for 6:35 pm.

104.5 KDAT Run the Bases Sunday: Every Sunday home game, play Travel Advisors Baseball Bingo, co-sponsored by the Radisson near Mall of America for a chance to win a trip to Minneapolis and see a Twins game. And after the game, kids (and adults) can run the bases and play catch on the field and get autographs from the Kernels. Enjoy the balloon artistry of Papa Balloon on the concourse and face painting by Kennedy. World Class Juggler Doug Sayers will be here on select Sundays.

Great Clips Twins Tuesday: Get an on-line coupon from the Kernels Facebook page or email newsletter for a 2 for 1 ticket offer at Tuesday home games as part of Twins Tuesday, presented by Great Clips. The Kernels will wear replica Twins jerseys and one lucky fan will win a pair of Minnesota Twins tickets given away at every Tuesday home game.

Free Money Wednesday: Up to $1,000 will be given away at the main gates at every Wednesday home game with $100 as the top cash prize.

98.1 KHAK Kernels Friday Mug Club: Buy a 16 oz. souvenir mug filled with your favorite regular draft beer or soda for just $6.00 and get refills at the Kernels concessions stands for just $3.00. Bring the mug back to every Kernels Friday home game for those $3.00 refills.

Tickets for all Kernel home games are available on-line at www.kernels.com; in person at the Kernels Ticket Office, or by calling 896-7560 during Ticket Office Hours. The Kernels Ticket Office is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The ticket office is closed on Sunday, but opens at 11 am on Kernel Sunday Home games.
