Sierra Returns to Dash

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (JUNE 9, 2011) - Today catcher Luis Sierra returned to the Dash from AA Birmingham. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.
Sierra was promoted to the Barons earlier this week but did not appear in any Southern League games. In 28 games this season with the Dash, Sierra hit .198 (19 for 96) with two home runs, nine RBI, five doubles, a triple, and 14 runs scored. The Colombia native is in his second full season as a catcher after the White Sox converted from a full-time infielder.
The Dash's roster has reached the Carolina League limit of 25 players.
