
Shairpzyanov Named to Team Russia

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced the roster for Team Russia that will compete in the 2014 SUBWAYî Super Series which begins Monday November 10 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
A team of 23 Russian players will travel across Canada as part of the 12th annual series with six games against CHL competition from November 10-20 in preparation for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship which takes place this winter in Montreal and Toronto.
Damir Sharipzyanov of the Owen Sound Attack is one of 10 Russian born Canadian Hockey League players who will take part in the series. Sharipyzanov and Sergey Tolchinsky of the Sault. Ste. Marie Greyhounds will play for Team Russia in their game in Peterborough on Thursday, Nov. 13 and in Kingston on Monday, Nov. 17.
Sharipzyanov will be joining teammates Zach Nastasiuk and Chris Bigras, who are playing for Team OHL, in the 2014 SUBWAY Super Series.
