Senators Open Six-Game Homestand Friday Night

Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators return home Friday night to take on the Altoona Curve to begin a six-game homestand. The Sens play three night games against Altoona, including their second 6pm Sunday night game of the season and three mid-week games against the Binghamton Mets. The Senators are playing their best baseball of the season and are looking to make their first appearance in the playoffs since 2002.

Along with the great baseball, the homestand is loaded from top to bottom with fun for everyone. The homestand is highlighted with two unique events. Sunday night the Senators have their second bobblehead giveaway of the season. Sunday night fans have the opportunity to get a free Stephen Strasburg bobblehead. If that's not enough, Thursday night women 18 and over have a chance to win a $3,500 diamond pendant. All the usual suspects are on hand as well with a Flatscreen and Fireworks night, a T-Shirt giveaway and a big Family Day on Sunday. Listed below is the homestand day-by-day schedule.

Friday night, August 6, the series against Altoona begins with a 7:00pm game. Come on out for another Flatscreens & Fireworks Friday Night presented by Verizon Wireless and WINK 104. The Senators will be giving away a flatscreen TV once per every inning throughout the course of the game. All fans 18 and over are eligible to win, just sign-up at one of the tables located throughout the ballpark. Friday is also another FRITOS Family Friday presented by Fritos. Various families have the opportunity to be on the radio, receive a tour of the ballpark, be the public address announcing for a half-inning and more! After the game, sit back and enjoy another one of the Senators outstanding fireworks shows. Gates open at 5:30pm on Friday night.

Saturday, August 7 the Senators and Altoona Curve play game two of their three game series at 7:00pm. Saturday night is Youth T-Shirt Giveaway presented by M & M's Chocolate Candies. The first 1,000 fans 12 and under will receive a free Senators T-Shirt. Then after the game, they can pull those T-Shirts on and run around the bases just like their favorite Senator.

Kids run the bases is presented by Wolf Furniture. Every Saturday night game this season, one lucky fan has won a Jersey Off the Back of a Sens player. This Saturday is no different. Saturday is also the annual Scout Night Sleepover. Bring your troop to the game and camp out in the outfield! A movie will be shown on the big video board at the conclusion of the game. Gates open at 5:30pm.

Sunday, August 8 at 6:00pm is the final game of the series against Altoona. There's something for everyone in the family on Sunday. The day starts with the Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead Giveaway presented by Members 1st, BOB 94.9, & The River. The first 1,000 fans, all ages, through the gate will receive a Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead. If you're not one of the first 1,000 through the gate, you're in luck! Just spend $60 or more Sunday in the Senators Team Store and receive a Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead while supplies last. Sunday is also a Kids Eat Free presented by Cost Cutters game. Every fan 12 and under receives a free meal on Sunday. Get your voucher at the table near the front gates at Metro Bank Park and then find one of the several locations throughout the park giving away the free meals. It's also Family Day presented by Rite Aid, BOB 94.9, & 97.3 The River. Get a Family Day coupon at your area Rite Aid that gets you 4 box seats, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas for only $24! And after the game, kids 12 and under run the bases! Gates open at 4:30pm.

Tuesday night, August 10, the Senators begin a series with the Binghamton Mets. The game time on Tuesday is 7:00pm. It's another Kraft Singles Tuesday Night. Buy 1 ticket and get 1 free from KRAFT Singles by bringing your package wrapper to the game on Tuesday for a steal of a deal. For more information, visit kraftsingles.com. Tuesday is Two for Tuesday sponsored by HOT 92.1. Just mention HOT 92.1 or Two for Tuesday at the box office to get two tickets for the price of one for the night's game! Don't forget that every Tuesday is also Baseball Bingo Night. Pick up your card at Customer Service and have fun playing along with the game. The ballpark gates open at 6:00pm.

Wednesday, August 11 the Senators and Binghamton play game two of their series at 12:00 noon. Wednesday is another Wii Wednesday sponsored by Harrisburg Best Buy. Test your skills in a Wii challenge and enter for a chance to win a Best Buy gift card. The Wii is set up on the boardwalk just inside the front gates. Gates open at 11:00am.

Thursday, August 12 at 7:00pm is the final game of the series against Binghamton. The gates open at 6:00pm for the 7:00pm first pitch. Be sure to arrive early so you can enjoy $2 Buck Beers on the Boardwalk presented by Coors Light and 105.7 The X. The Senators also welcome Myron Noodleman, the hippest nerd in da biz. Myron will entertain the crowd in his unique style all game long. After the game, the ladies should stick around for the Senators second annual Diamond Dig presented by Mountz Jewelers. All women 18 and over have the opportunity to dig up a diamond pendant valued at $3,500 after the game.

Tickets to these games, as well as any remaining game this season, are available online through the Senators website 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Sens box office is open 9:00am to 5:00pm daily, Monday through Friday, and from 9:00am until the 5th inning of all Sens home games.
