Tonight, the SeaWolves will look to avoid a series sweep as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) in the final game of a three-game series at New Britain Stadium. The 'Wolves dropped their third straight game last night as they were drubbed by the Rock Cats 13-6. It was the second-highest run total put up by the Cats this season. Erie got out to a 2-0 lead and were outscored 13-3 the remainder of the game...The SeaWolves are hitting .273 over the last 10 games with 11 home runs and 52 runs scored...Infielder Michael Bertram has been transferred from Erie to Triple-A Toledo. Erie will be playing one-short on the roster with no corresponding move at the present time...Righty Anthony Shawler takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 22nd appearance and seventh start. Shawler is 1-2 with three no-decisions as a starter. He took a no-decision in his last start against Binghamton on July 30. In the game, he allowed five runs on seven hits in 1.2 innings of work. It was his shortest
outing as a starter...Lefty Tyler Robertson takes the mound for the Rock Cats making his 21st start of the season. He took a loss in his last outing at Bowie. In the game, Robertson allowed eight runs, five earned, on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. His last win came on 7/15 against Portland.
- New Britain leads the season series over Erie 2-0. The SeaWolves and Rock Cats meet six times in 2010.
- Defensively, the 'Wolves have committed 116 errors on the season which tied for most in the league. The Rock Cats have committed 115, the second-most.
