Senators Offering Discounted Tickets Wednesday
April 19, 2010 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release
Harrisburg, PA -The Harrisburg Senators have announced that those fans holding a ticket stub from Friday's game can purchase discounted tickets to the game this Wednesday against Reading.
Friday night an all-time record crowd of 7,895 showed up to watch Stephen Strasburg make his home debut. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had a different plan for the evening. After waiting 2 ½ hours for the game to start, there was only 35 minutes of action before another rain delay. During the 35 minutes of action, Strasburg went 2.1 innings.
Because of the situation Friday night, the game this Wednesday at 10:30am, with Strasburg slated to start, is being offered at reduced prices for those fans holding a ticket stub from Friday night. Fans with a Friday ticket can purchase any seat in the ballpark at a discount of $5, excluding reserve and standing room only tickets.
"A lot of people are really excited to see Stephen Strasburg pitch here in Harrisburg," said Senators President Kevin Kulp. "The weather was not what we had hoped. We finally were able to give the fans the chance to see him but the rain came again and impacted the experience. We hope that any fan that had tickets for Friday and can make it Wednesday morning will take us up on the $5 ticket discount."
These tickets are available in person at the box office only. The box office is open Monday until the fifth inning of the game against Reading and on Tuesday from 9am until the fifth inning of the game against Reading. The box office opens Wednesday morning at 8:30am.
Tickets for any remaining game this season can be purchased online, in person or by telephone. Tickets are available online 24 hours a day at www.senatorsbaseball.com. Tickets are also available via telephone at 231-4444 option #2 or in person from 9am to 5pm on non-game days or until the fifth inning on game days.
