WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - First-place Sacramento lost its seventh game in a row, falling 6-3 to Round Rock before a sellout crowd Saturday night at Raley Field. Slugger Chris Carter, representing the winning run, struck out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to end the game. Former River Cat Brett Tomko, who has pitched for 10 different Major League teams including the Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants, allowed two runs over 7.0 innings for Round Rock. Jai Miller hit his team-high 28th home run of the season for Sacramento. With Las Vegas' loss at Nashville earlier in the night, Sacramento's magic number to clinch a South Division title in 14. The sellout (14,014 fans) was the River Cats' third of the season and 65th all time.
