RedHawks Continue Homestand on Military Appreciation Night-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks continue an eight-game homestand with game two in a four-game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox...Following the current series, the RedHawks will host the Reno Aces for a four-game series...Oklahoma City enter Saturday in fourth place in the American Southern division, 16.0 games behind first place Round Rock, and 4.0 games behind third place New Orleans...The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are fourth place in the Pacific Northern Division, 12.5 games behind first place Reno...

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- LH Andy Van Hekken (30G, 14GS, 7-4, 3.22) makes his 15th consecutive start tonight...Van Hekken is coming off a winning decision on August 8 at Tucson, in which he allowed two runs and seven hits in seven innings...At home, Van Hekken has a 5-1 record and 2.27 ERA in 14 games and six starts...Van Hekken enters Saturday second in the league in ERA at 3.22, trailing only Omaha's Luis Mendoza (2.26)...Mendoza is the probable starter for Omaha tonight at Salt Lake...Colorado Springs starter Joey Williamson (4G, 1GS, 0-1, 11.57) is coming off a losing decision on August 8, giving up six earned runs and nine hits over four innings vs. Memphis...

Last Game: August 12- OKC RedHawks 9, Colorado Springs Sky Sox 2-- Drew Locke drove three runs while Brett Wallace added three hits leading the Oklahoma City RedHawks to a 9-2 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox before 7,516 Friday night at RedHawks Field at Bricktown...Lucas Harrell (3-1) allowed two runs and 11 hits over seven innings in a winning decision while Billy Buckner (4-7) allowed seven runs and seven hits over five innings for the Sky Sox in the loss...

Military Appreciation Night-- Tonight the RedHawks celebrate Military Appreciation Night, part of the season-long Hometown Heroes promotion, presented by Devon Energy...Colonel Bob LaBrutta, 72nd Air Base Wing and Installation Commander, Tinker Air Force Base, will be in attendance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and is expected to address the crowd in the middle of the first inning...In addition, new United States Air Force recruits will be sworn in during a between innings ceremony...On the plaza outside of the park, fans can enjoy military demonstrations and exhibits prior to the first pitch...

We're Going Streaking!!!-- Anderson Hernandez increased his hitting streak to ten games with a sixth inning single last night...Five of the ten games have been multi-hit games...Hernandez is currently batting .294 with 5 HR and 42 RBI...Hernandez was locked in during the month of July, posting a .353 (30x85) average, and has improved in August with a .408 (20x49) mark...In addition, OF Paul Goebbert is riding a six-game hitting streak, and has hit safely in nine of the ten games he has played with Oklahoma City...

Locke in Mix for Hitter of Week-- During the current week (beginning Monday August 8), Drew Locke is 7x14 with 3 HR and 15 RBI... Sunday August 14 is the final day to collect stats toward the current week's Hitter of the Week award...The RedHawks have not won a weekly Pacific Coast League award, hitting or pitching, in 2011...

Wallace, Johnson Since Option-- Since the option from Houston, first baseman Brett Wallace is batting .417 (15x36) with 7 RBI in nine games with Oklahoma City...Third baseman Chris Johnson is batting .273 (9x33) with one home run and eight RBI...Johnson left last night's game in the top of the fourth, after being hit by a pitch above the left wrist in the bottom of the third inning...Johnson is listed as day-to-day...

Double Play Defense-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks lead the Pacific Coast League lead with 144 double plays...The next-closest team is Salt Lake with 142 double plays...Iowa is last in the PCL with 90 twin-killings...
