
Sea Dogs Hold on for a 10-9 Win over the Fisher Cats

Portland, Maine - The Sea Dogs (60-74) outlasted the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (74-58) in a slugfest, pulling out a 10-9 win on Field of Dreams night at Hadlock Field.
The Sea Dogs scored in each of the first four innings and jumped out to an 8-3 lead.
Chad De La Guerra hit a three-run homer to straightaway center field in the second inning and finished with two hits and four RBIs. De La Guerra has a career-high 15 home runs this season.
Luke Tendler also homered for Portland and finished with two hits. Jeremy Rivera had three hits and scored three runs. Esteban Quiroz had three hits and an RBI. Jantzen Witte also had two hits, and RBI, and a run scored. The Sea Dogs finished with 14 hits.
Matt Kent (11-8) earned the win despite allowing seven runs on 12 hits in five innings.
Jordan Romano (11-8) took the loss, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in four innings.
New Hampshire had 15 hits in a losing effort. Bo Bichette reached base four times with two hits, two walks, and two runs scored. Max Pentecost had two hits - including a two-run homer - and three RBIs. Santiago Espinal went 3-for-4 with his first career Double-A home run and three runs scored. Andrew Guillotte and Forrest Wall each had two hits as well.
Jake Cosart worked two scoreless innings in relief of Matt Kent and allowed just one hit.
Josh Taylor entered the game with one runner on base in the ninth and shut the door to earn his seventh save of the season.
The Sea Dogs play their final game at Hadlock Field in 2018, hosting the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) on Thursday night beginning at 7:00 PM. LHP Kyle Hart (7-9, 3.60) makes the start for the Sea Dogs. RHP Hector Perez (0-1, 4.35) is on the mound for New Hampshire. Radio coverage begins at 6:45 PM on the WPEI U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. MiLB.TV starts at 6:55 PM.
