NEWS AND NOTES

WHAT A NIGHT:Tim Roberson hit the third cycle in franchise history on Friday night, as the Sea Dogs continue their four-game series with the Rock Cats at New Britain Stadium on Saturday...Roberson's cycle was the second as a Red Sox affiliate - Cory Keylor had the last on August 4, 2007 at Harrisburg...The first cycle in team history belongs to Cesar Crespo on June 16, 2000 at Binghamton (Game 1 of a doubleheader)...Portland has won five of their last nine road games and snapped New Britain's 13-game win streak on Friday.

WHAT A COMEBACK: Portland trailed 10-4 after six innings, but scored five in the seventh and two runs in the ninth and 10th innings, beating the Rock Cats 13-11 on Friday night at New Britain Stadium...Roberson brought the 'Dogs within one, clubbing a grand slam off Tyler Ybarra in seventh...Marco Hernandez tied the game with a two-run single in the ninth and Roberson provided the game-winner, nailing a two-run triple on the 10th off Kraig Sitton (0-1), and completing the cycle...Pat Light retired all five batters and fanned three to notch his first Double-A win.
