BAGS ARE PACKED : The Sea Dogs close out their six-game roadtrip on Sunday night against the Bowie Baysox (Orioles) from Prince George's Stadium...Portland can finish .500 on the trip with a victory tonight, as last night they clinched their first series win against a Western Division opponent since August 14-16, 2012 vs. Altoona at Hadlock Field...Portland trails Trenton by two games for the second playoff spot in the Eastern Division...RHP Jeremy Kehrt makes his 5th start of the season for Portland in the series finale.

BIG O FOR OWENS : Lefty Henry Owens fanned a career-high 11 batters in his Double-A debut, leading the Sea Dogs to a 6-1 win over Bowie on Saturday...Owens tossed six innings on four hits, two walks and 11 K's, holding Bowie 0-for-9 with runners-in-scoring position...J.C. Linares, Heiker Meneses and Travis Shaw each had 2 RBI...Shaw homered for the second straight night and has the game-winning RBI in both games...RHP Bobby Lanigan worked the final three innings on three hits, one run and three strikeouts for the save...Bowie finished 0-for-15 with runners-in-scoring position.
