----- Today, the SeaWolves look to avoid the sweep as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) in the final game of a three-game series at New Britain Stadium. Last night, the SeaWolves could not come up with a big hit with runners in scoring position as they dropped their second straight to the Cats 5-4. The 'Wolves went just 2-for-12 with RISP and left seven on base...Despite the losses in the first two games of the series, the 'Wolves have not lost ground in the Western Division. Both Harrisburg and Bowie have also dropped two straight to Eastern Division opponents so Erie enters play 1.5 games behind the Senators and 3.5 games ahead of the Baysox...Matt Crouse takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 26th appearance, 20th start and second start against the Rock Cats. Crouse took a loss to the Cats on June 18 at Jerry Uht Park allowing six runs, five earned, on nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts in six innings of work. Crouse took a loss in his last start at Reading on July 30. In the game, he allowed a season-high eight runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. Erie lost the game 11-5...RHP Trevor May takes the mound for New Britain making his 22nd start and second against Erie. He beat the SeaWolves on June 18 tossing 7.2 shutout innings, allowing four hits with a walk and nine strikeouts. May took a no-decision in his last start against Akron allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
