WRAPPING THINGS UP: The Portland Sea Dogs seek their first series win at Hadlock Field this season, closing out a three-game series with the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field...Portland is 1-3 on the homestand, dropping a two-game set to Trenton from April 18-19 (series finale postponed)...Starting tomorrow night, the 'Dogs open up a seven-game road trip against Binghamton and Hartford.
JUST ONCE: DH Aneury Tavarez knocked in Portland's lone run with a two-out RBI single in the sixth inning, as Hartford grabbed a 2-1 win...Ty Culbreth (3-1) earned the win, working 5.2 innings on five hits and one run...Hartford used four relievers, who combined for 3.1 innings on two hits and five strikeouts...Matt Kent (L, 0-1) was strong in the loss, hurling six innings on six hits, two runs (one earned), and one strikeout.
