Scrappers Challenge Community for ALS Awareness

NILES - In an effort to create ALS awareness, the Scrappers have challenged WYTV's Josh

Frketic to take the Ice Bucket Challenge during Friday's Mahoning Valley Scrappers vs. Williamsport Crosscutters game.

Fans are encouraged to come out Friday night and see Frketic raise awareness for ALS when he accepts the Ice Bucket Challenge at the end of the third inning. In addition, fans who tweet @mvscrappers videos of them participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge and use the hashtags #baseballwithbite and #IceBucketChallenge will receive an online ticket code to purchase $8 Box Seat tickets for the final Scrappers homestand August 25th through August 30th. The Scrappers will donate $4 of each ticket purchased with the online code to the ALS Association.

The Scrappers return home Friday, August 15th against the Williamsport Crosscutters. First pitch is at 7:05pm. Individual game tickets may be purchased at www.mvscrappers.com, the Eastwood Field Box Office or by calling (330) 505 - 0000.
